Like Sunshine Through the Rain

You came through my life like sunshine through the rain
For a moment you were here then gone again
Stirring the up feelings I had disallowed
Disappearing like the sun behind a cloud

The scent of your love still lingers in my mind
The sounds of your voice so gentle and so kind
Did indeed my hungry soul with brightness fill
Weaving a delicious spell, bending my will

Without your love and with skies of dismal gray
I return to live my life from day to day
So for now the rainy times must carry on
Until all my memories of you are gone
