The world is a lonelier place
Without your voice, your smile, your face
The birds sing but it’s not the same
And life, it seems a foolish game
The little things you did I miss
To give you thanks I am remiss
Outside I smile, inside I sigh
The world, it seems is passing by
As a team we could burdens share
When I was not, then you were there
I watch our children laugh and play
Happiness seems so far away
A thousand years could not erase
The memories of your embrace
As seasons come and seasons change
That you’re gone seems so very strange
Our hopes, our prayers, the dreams we dreamed
They all now remain unredeemed
My heart, it seems without a clue
Now forever changed without you
